You see it almost everywhere these days; CBD oil, CBD-infused drinks, CBD supplements, CBD beauty products, and even CBD pet products. More and more people have access to CBD (cannabidiol in full) but what exactly can you do with it?
What is CBD?
Cannabis contains more than 100 special substances called cannabinoids. The best-known cannabinoid is probably Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is the most important psychoactive substance in cannabis. It simply means that THC provides the mind-expanding effect of cannabis. CBD, on the other hand, is hardly or never mind-expanding. But CBD is responsible for a large part of the medicinal properties of cannabis.

CBD oil
CBD oil is made from hemp plants that contain hardly any THC. Although plenty of scientific research is still being done into the actual beneficial properties of CBD, according to users, CBD oil offers support for a whole range of physical and mental complaints. You can think of reducing stress, sleeping problems, anxiety attacks, epilepsy and depression and the oil is also often used by people with physical pain such as rheumatism and osteoarthritis.
We are of course not medical specialists who prescribe medication, and can’t tell you whether cannabis or CBD oil works on your complaint. But as a coffeeshop we are of course the place-to-be when it comes to cannabis and therefore we do have CBD oil in our shops. If you are inspired by all the stories on the internet and still want to try if CBD oil is something for you, we are happy to give you some tips to look at for when you bring CBD oil into your home:
- Check where the CBD oil comes from. The plants used to make CBD oil must grow in a safe and clean way on hemp field. Otherwise you can have the chance that the chemicals or pesticides end up in your oil.
- Start with a low dose and build it up slowly until you’ve achieved the desired effect. This way you can experience what it does for your body. So start with a few drops and if this doesn’t yet give you the desired effect, you can slowly build up the dose. Always keep the instructions in the enclosure ready. It of course depends on why and how often you use the oil.
- If you don’t notice any effect after a couple of weeks, then stop with it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the same effect for everyone.
We have various CBD oils in our shops, varying in strength from 3,5% up to 25% CBD. This percentage indicates the percentage CBD of the entire bottle. We also have CBD tea for when you want to try something different.
